optimization of VM on azure and SQL database

We have a VM on windows azure and multiple sites are running on the same. All the sites are connected to the SQL server which is on the same machine. few outside servers are also connected with the same database/sql server.

Now that we are scaling up, we are facing huge load and very slow speed. Our sites are running slow and mostly database administration is the issue.

We are looking for someone who can help us in improving the server efficiency as well as tell us the bugs/glitches that we have in the current system.

Database : MS SQL 2012

Cloud : Windows Azure

Server : Windows Server 2012 R2
