I am seeking an expert in LS-DYNA simulations to perform a comprehensive analysis of automotive safety during frontal collisions, with a particular focus on the role of seatbelts in occupant protection. The objective of this project is to simulate and analyze the effects of various impact speeds on both the vehicle and the driver in a frontal crash scenario.
The simulation should accurately model the car’s structure, including the key crumple zones, to evaluate how the vehicle withstands impacts at different velocities. A crucial part of this study is to understand the significance of seatbelt use during such collisions. We aim to simulate and analyze the driver’s biomechanical response under these crash conditions, comparing scenarios where the driver is wearing a seatbelt to those where they are not.
This simulation will serve a dual purpose: firstly, to evaluate the car’s safety features and identify potential areas for improvement in vehicle design, and secondly, to illustrate the heightened risks associated with not wearing a seatbelt during a collision. It is expected that this project will vividly demonstrate the lifesaving importance of seatbelts, and help raise awareness about their critical role in driver safety.
A successful project will deliver detailed reports, visualizations, and analyses of the simulation results, with a clear interpretation of the driver’s safety under the different conditions and seatbelt usage scenarios tested.
