I am a professor in human sexuality/sexology at the University of Leuven in Belgium, and I need a banner for my new, personal website (domain but nothing there yet: www.erickjanssen.com) .

I am not very experienced with Freelancer, so forgive me, but I am hoping for someone to create a banner for my new website that is simple and esthetically pleasing, in content, style, and colors, and that at the same time gets more than one message across. Ideally, it will show one or two people (preferably two), who are intimately engaged -- nothing explicit -- and the image should, in some way, refer to our Dual Control Model of Sexual Response, and my book The Psychophysiology of Sex (including the instruments that are used to measure sexual responses).

Attached are some images, files, that may help inspire. I am not interested in some slick design. I am looking for elegance, beauty, art, deep colors, personality, some creative combination and representation of how sex involves (often) more than one person, minds and bodies, and how sex researchers like me are interested in couples, in instruments. More than anything, I would like to have our model (the Dual Control Model) highlighted.

No words, perhaps my name small on the side or top, but I may prefer to use it just as a banner and use WordPress to put my name on top. An image, an art piece, not too busy, and again, elegant.

Please do not submit any suggestions, any ideas, any proposals, if you are not sure this is your calling, your topic, your adventure. The attached files and the links below will tell you, I hope, more about my work. I need some reference to couples/romantic relationships (see the art piece I used for my previous book), to psychophysiology (our bodies, our minds, instruments to assess genital responses), to our dual control model.

It could include the art piece attached, but I don&amp;amp;#039;t think the colors are right for a website (should it be turned to blue?), and some reference to people holding weighing scales, or, perhaps better, people holding different scales in the left and right hand.

Ultimately, I like simplicity, elegance, sex and eroticism, couples, dyads, and a playful representation of the psychophysiology of sex, the brain, the body, and the weighing of that what turns us on, and that what we have been told, from childhood on, to keep our sexuality under control. Gas pedals. Brakes. Sex is complicated.

See below for some suggestions/feedback. Again, I like elegance. I am an art lover, my audience is mature. Also, weighing scales are good, but as I put in the description of this contest, preferably separate ones (some of these though, which is good). I definitely would like to NOT see the long weighing scale with the triangle, but more like the scales of justice (and possibly in separate hands).

Thank you, all of you, for your efforts. I like some of the features of some of these, but would prefer (1) no or as few as possible words (maybe inhibition and excitation with weighing scales) and my name, but not too big, (2) original art/drawings, including (but it is an example) the image of the couple I included. I would like the banner to be artful and visual, and well-integrated (not a mix of separated things). I can make most of these banners myself, to be honest, using public-domain image banks and Adobe programs (I have made some websites myself). I would like you to be creative, an artist. No cookie-cutter banners please (for the price I am offering, I think I can ask for a bit more of your time than that). Again, thanks for your efforts!
