Our project requires a skilled mechanica engineer who has experience in designing flexible tube connector with an angular stop and latch system to release the posiiton..

Specifications:
- The connector design should be able to accommodate hinge functionality with a lock at 0° and 90° with action by the user (push to unlock for example) .
- Unlocking must be secure,and be tool free (it must not be unlock by accident),
- The product will have 2 verisons: Tube to tube and wall to tube.
- The design must be cleaver enough for a range of tube from 60x40x3 but should be working also with smaller tube or wider one. Some dimension will be different but the connector should share as much part as possible beetween each version.
The size for the working proof will be 60x40x3mm with 100Kg load force in axial direction.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in mechanical engineering and product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing and modeling.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for tube connectors.
- Previous work in designing tube connectors with hinge functionality.
- Attention to detail and ability to create precise and accurate designs.

Deliverable:
Bearing load simulation, Assembly with part, explode view and bom, sw21 preferably, otherwise parasolid or step.


The intended use of the tube connector is for furniture, railling safe guard.The connector will be visible so it must be design with esthetic in mind.
The fastenning of connector/tube should be either welded/screwed or anything else you can came up with and compatible with the load.

    Sorry mate, Dear CH the selected entry will not work / does the required job - the criteria like child safety, accident proof ..not reflected and lock is not reliable & aesthetically ugly. It is not doable as it is.

      I agree, how the hell is he going to place the lever inside the tube. This assembly would be nightmare.

      You are right. It's assembly will be a nightmare. He needs to cut a slot in every tube that he welds with this connector. He need different hinge for every different size tube. Don't know how is he going to use a wall mount. No sharing of parts for different sized tube.

    could you elaborate "range of tube from 60x40x3". do you mean that the sides of the square section are 40mmx60mm and that its wall thickness is 3mm? Also, what is your preferred material?

      Material choice will mainly be guided by FEA result.
