Hi everyone.

I am currently developing a colorful adventure game titled Fragment about a group of four friends that travel together on a journey of self discovery. One of the friends is an alien that has crashed landed on Earth and due to his influence, this allows the three others to develop and utilize psychic powers. As the player travels through Fragment, they need to utilize everyone's various psychic abilities to solve puzzles and continue forward.

I am looking for a title or header image that shows the four friends on their adventure. This can be abstract or more grounded (for example, the characters can be "floating in space", representing adventure or a sense of wonder/wander). This image will be used on the game's official Steam page as well as possibly on marketing materials.

The game is extremely colorful and presented in a top-down view similar to RPGs from the 8 bit and 16 bit era. The in-game art style is perhaps best described as cartoony, but not overly so. As you'll notice from the screenshots, while it is cartoony, it's not juvenile, as colors are somewhat pastel and muted, and shapes are angular and not completely round/shapeless. I am looking for an artist to capture a similar style that evokes a sense of youth, wonder, adventure and freedom. Please note that the game also takes place during the 1980s and the locations (backgrounds, objects, colors) are heavily influenced by American pop-culture from this time period.

I have uploaded examples of images that best represent the feeling the final image(s) should evoke. As well, there are images of the four main characters so you can see what their outfits should look like.

Hi everyone. Based off of submissions, please note that I am looking for an original image showing the four main characters (see attached files) in the style of the reference material submitted. I see some of the submissions are utilizing the reference material in the final work. I just wanted to clarify this finer point.

Also, for inspiration and clarification, the main character Timothy can read minds and put people to sleep. His alien friend Gus can accelerate healing. Geoff, the brown haired boy, can shoot fire, ice and electricity. Eliza can push and pull objects and manipulate time. While not necessary, you can use this as inspiration perhaps to place the character's in certain poses.

Since it may be used for various promotional or marketing material, the final image should be pretty large. Probably at least 1920x1920 or so. The main header image on steam requests a size of 600x900 pixels. But again, larger better, since the original image may be resized.

  Yes, the game is inspired by earthbound. I think a portrait ratio would work better, but it's not necessarily set in stone. The title logo can be incorporated into the work, but is not necessary (I can always add it later). The image will be used for marketing and as a header image on the Steam game page, so it should be versatile/the components should work separately.

  Great question, thanks for asking. The characters aren't armed, no. The player progresses the story by using their psychic powers mostly. The main character Timothy can read minds and put people to sleep. His alien friend Gus can accelerate healing. Geoff, the brown haired boy, can shoot fire, ice and electricity. Eliza can push and pull objects and manipulate time.

Hello, I am a fan of pixel style art I am wondering what is the resolution used to make the characters and the title that what I can make it look good in photoshop or any other pixel type program like Aseprit or Piskel.

  The in-game graphics are pixel art, yes. Generally, the characters are around 48x48 or 48x64. However, for this request, the title image should be a traditional illustration (not pixel art) since the size is quite large.
