Project Title: Automated Mechanical Lever Solution

Description:
I am looking for a skilled professional to offer suggestions for an automated mechanical lever solution that will change the angle of 8 horizontal blades.

I have created an Octagonal tube made from 8 separate strips of 1.5 mm plate. My intension is to reduce the size of one end by 50% by changing the angle of each blade by 10 degrees. I want to be able to control the angle of the blades to vary the size of the aperture at one end.

The aperture at one end will stay at 200mm and will be the point of fulcrum. The other end of the octagon will need to open to 200mm and close to 100mm.

I am looking for the simplest most reliable method of opening and closing the aperture (END).

I have considered Lineal Actuators which are expensive. Looking for the simplest solution that is easy to manufacture and reliable.

Length of blades - 500mm
Width of Blades - 80mm
Thickness of blades - 1.5mm
