I have been a freelancer most of my life excepting for the seven years I spent working for an Indian, English-language newspaper. I have a PhD in modern French literature, obtained from the University of Paris 7, which gives me native speaker fluency in this language. Also I worked as a paid freelance translator in Paris for over three years, working for an NGO that dealt with migrants, an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I have an equally compelling experience in editing, having, as I said, worked for the media and, subsequently, for a small American publisher based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
