Transcribe audio and video recordings.
Find specific words, phrases, or sentences in a recording.
Translate from one language to another.
Verify transcripts for accuracy.
Research the context of unfamiliar words or phrases.
Develop transcript formats that conform to industry standards.
Edit transcripts, primarily by inserting punctuation marks, adding square brackets and parenthesis to indicate speaker identification, and correcting misspellings in English language text.

The Translator and Transcripts Data Entry Specialist is responsible for translating written material from one language to another, using a computer program, and for entering transcripts data into databases. This position requires a basic understanding of both languages.

6 years experience translating written material in multiple languages - Ability to translate technical materials such as manuals, instructions, or press releases - Demonstrated experience working with word processing and spreadsheet software - Ability to organize and prioritize work according to deadlines and project needs
