Very popular cricket site was scraped to extract detailed Scorecards of all the international cricket matches every played. The objective was to identify various interesting trivia and highlights in the history of Cricket.
Process:
1. A BOT was created to scrape through the website year by year, match by match
2. Stored the data in a database which we leveraged for analytics later.

Roadblocks encountered: Some data had to be picked from dynamic charts, so to read the jscript, we had to run Selenium code as well.

A sample of the code is below (wont work now as the site has been revamped since then), and snapshot of the type of data we got at the end of the game. The code was super efficient and downloaded everything in less than 2 hours.
The Data downloaded was :
1. Each match played, and result
2. Detailed scores by Batsman
3. Detailed scores by Bowlers
4. List of all the matches played by each country

Quite a fun project completed in 3-4 days.

Scraping Public Sites with Python - beautifulsoup & Selenium

This is an end to end implementation done by me and one of my team members. The 2 of us, created the following architecture and implemented beautiful user stories.

1. Coded a Bot on Python to gather data from public sites
2. Data Processing and running ETL in Python
3. Data Warehousing in MySQL server
4. Dataflow implementation with PowerBI
5. Build insightful, user friendly interfaces published on PowerBI service

This helps my client save time, money, and gives them strategic insights on a daily level.

Enhance Complicated Macro & Troubleshooting via Zoom

Ankur is the best VBA expert around and he has more than 10 years of experience with VBA. The Macro Enhancement I needed was rather complicated and messy but he was able to understand the entire Macro functions in a very fast time and made the suitable changes as per required. He has even provided a zoom call walkthrough to explain on the detailed Macro changes made and he has shared his expert advise on how the Macro could be simplified and improved as well.
