INDUSTRY INTERNSHIP PROJECT
COMPANY CMC Ltd. Kolkata Duration: 6 Months
PROJECT 1: State Finance Monitoring System(SFMS)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The primary objective of the SFMS system is to monitor the receipts and expenditures of the State Government. These transactions will be captured at the treasury/sub-treasury level and consolidated at the DTA level. The system will assist the DTA in its endeavor to ensure financial discipline in conformity with policies framed, and instructions issued by the Finance Department from time to time and preparation of monthly accounts to be submitted to the Accountant General, MP. The system will generate several reports at the level of treasuries/sub-treasuries, divisional offices, DTA and FMIS.

PROJECT 2: Computerization of Shipping Office (CSOK)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The system will automate most of the functionality of the four departments of Shipping Office, Kolkata (Govt. of India). The activities of these departments are very much inter-linked. The core modules of the system will be Administration, Registration, Shipping and Accounts, which will be very much integrated.
PLATFORM OF DEVELOPMENT:
Operating System : Windows 2000 Server (at server end)
Windows 2000 Professional and Windows 98 (at client Side)
RDBMS : ORACLE 9i DS Workgroup Server.
Front End : iDS (Oracle Form Builder 6i and Oracle Report Builder 6i)
