Font Expert Needed - Preparing a Monospaced TTF file for use inside Windows CMD Console Hello! I am searching for a FONT expert who can help prepare an existing TTF (true type font) for use with the Windows CMD console. My project has very strict requirements, as any deviation will cause the font file to not load correctly for my project. I would also like a short simple tutorial of this entire process to be written for my own use. Any program suitable for making TTF files may be used with this project. But I would highly prefer "Font Creator" by Highlogic. As it offers in my opinion the easiest set of tools and features. Here are the formal requirements: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Prepare a font file with a fixed height and width of 32x32 pixels. Black and white with no color. 2. The Font file to be modified is "Moder DOS 437 Win" - It must contain all its default characters with pixel detail preserved. 2. The Font file must be fixed width. A variable-width fonts will NOT work. 3. The font file would need to contain empty space for 6000 future glyph's, you will need to extend the "Moder DOS 437 Win " to support this. 4. Write a simple tutorial or record a video through screen recording software of how you prepared mono-spaced font file. This will include setting necessary technical information regarding the font. Every single step must be included as well as how to extend the glyph support of a font file. The technical requirements: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ According to Microsoft a font for the Console needs the following: 1. If it is a TrueType font, it must be FF_MODERN. 2. If it is a TrueType font, the lfPitchAndFamily field must contain the code for the FF_MODERN family, in bits 4 through 7. FF_MODERN describes fonts with a constant stroke width (i.e. monospace fonts), with or without serifs. Monospace fonts are usually modern. Pica, Elite, and CourierNew are examples. The files included are examples of working TTF fonts inside the CMD console. However when I try to modify a single character (for example "A") it invalidates the font for use within the CMD console. I am not sure why this occurs? If you have read this far and still interested: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyone serious about working on this project will need to demonstrate their proficiency. Download either TFF font I provided and modify the character "A" or "a" into something different. Either a smiley face for a square would be sufficient.
