We basically need a shopping cart webpage with multiple pages
just like [url removed, login to view]
A) for users to be able to create login accounts and then
access TA schedules, subjects to learn, and the payment
page.
C) Direct deposit credit card payment from a shopping cart.
D) The login must be used to record specific hours purchased,
tutor sessions for specific tutors and students, and payment
information with a reference number.
E) There should be some sort of receipt page that comes up
after a package is purchased. This page will have the
reference number just in case we ever have an issue.
F) Tutors page. Complete with all tutors. Subjects they
teach, a picture, biography, and hours of availability
throughout each day of the month (days unavailable are grayed
out.) View this page for an example:
[url removed, login to view]
This is one of the pages that will need to be updated
monthly.
G) Registration page for new students with terms of use
contract. Once registered, this page will inform student of
successful registration and that he must now sign in on main
page. The page will automatically redirect.
H) Registration page for new tutors with terms of use
contract. [url removed, login to view] is a great
template
I) Must have the capability to expand to new markets. We
picked a domain name but we don't have hosting yet. This
must have multiple city links, eventually. Our initial
homepage should look like [url removed, login to view] with the
tabs on the left and then on the right, where the book is, we
will have a coverage map to show areas of service. Above
that, we can have our logo, which I will send to you whenever
you need it. The first city we're starting with is
Albuquerque, NM. So it should be something like
[url removed, login to view] and all the internal stuff should be
www.scorelauncher.com/abq//???. So in the future...with the
map on the homepage, students will click on a coverage area
such as Dallas, and then all this same stuff will be
available, just for the Dallas area. So it will be like
[url removed, login to view]?? with the Dallas area tutors
coming up. All package prices will be different for that
area also, but the account that money goes into should remain
the same. For other markets, we will probably need a new
account link (shopping cart) so we can just franchise it out
and people can deal with their own accounts. But these will
still be off the same domain. I'm just telling you this
future information so that you can think ahead when you're
designing now in order to make it easier, but for right now,
we just have this one test city (Albuquerque).
J) "My account" page, where students can click to see how
much credit they have left and their accounts. This has to
be coordinated with the tutor's calendars. For instance,
once the student is logged in and chooses a one hour block
during a certain month, after hitting "confirm," the credit
will automatically deduct from their account. Or, if they
don't have sufficient funds in their account, they will be
directed to a payment page. Once the payment is confirmed,
either through account deduction or through credit card
payment, the tutor will be automatically be sent an email
saying they must tutor at a certain time on their schedule
and the student's info. Is this something we can do? If
not, after the student makes a payment, they must be taken to
a form where they fill out their information and it is
emailed to the specific tutor that they picked. The tutor
can then email them back to confirm. Also, once payment is
confirmed, a payment confirmation page will appear with the
time of tutoring and the tutor chosen so the student can keep
for their records.
K) Help/Feedback Form
L) Package Deal Page--This is how we want to charge people.
Let them buy set packages and then add hours to it as they
want. They can also purchase single hours at a time. Our
rate will be $30 per hour and a minimum of 1 hour per class.
This information will go into their "account" page and we
will need to setup a credit system so that each hour of
tutoring takes away a credit from their account.
M) FAQs page
N) Contact page with relevant email addresses and phone
numbers
O) Find a tutor page--allows students to select a specific
subject. Basically just like what's on the left side of
wyzant's homepage. Once they click on the subject, it will
show the tutors available to teach and the hours of the day
that they are available. When the tutors available come up,
there should be 4 columns. The columns that appear for each
tutor should be a 1) picture, 2) a name (with link to
biography) 3) subjects taught 4) Travelling info (if the
tutor will meet at student's home and/or at a neutral,
specified location).
P) I think there will be a lot of maintenance to this site.
We will need to update tutors, their schedules, and the
method of delivering those confirmation emails for each tutor
so that when a student purchases time, the tutor will receive
an email notification of the student information, time and
date purchased if that's possible. Otherwise we need to come
up with something cheaper but that allows the tutor to
receive information about when they need to tutor and who
they need to tutor. This seems like the hardest part to me,
but maybe you have ideas on it. Occasionally, we will
probably change some prices or add a new deal also.
