Objective: Research and briefly explain what SQL injection is. Provide at least two specific examples of how it can be implemented. Research and describe at least one utility out on the market that can be used with web applications to scan for SQL injection and briefly review some key examples of how it is executed. Instructions: Research and write about the following objective in a single Microsoft Word document. The document should be no longer than 2 pages (essay portion only) You shall not use any direct quote or paraphrase that exceeds two sentences in length. All direct quotes and paraphrasing must have a citation after each occurrence and must contain either a direct link to the source or the source title (the source title shall also be contained in a list at the end of your paper - does not count towards the two page limit). Penalties for academic integrity violations will be in accordance with class policies and procedures. Important note: If you choose to download any utilities for evaluation purposes, DO NOT ATTEMPT any unauthorized scans or attacks on systems you do not personally own. Doing so is illegal and may result in criminal penalties. You hereby agree to release any other person or organization from liability should you choose to disregard this warning. Additionally, if it is determined that you have performed this type of activity, you will receive an automatic failing grade for the course.
