English to German Translator

The primary responsibilities of this role are the translation of several text documents from travel industry and other related text such as promotional text, websites, or manuals from ENGLISH TO GERMAN and Vica verse .This role requires a highly motivated, proactive individual with an interest and knowledge of travel and an understanding of the cultural requirements of the target market. They should have a native-level ability in the target language, and a fluent level of understanding of the source language. Good linguistic abilities, organisational and communication skills. This role is open to anyone from beginner to experienced translator. Must be English native and ideally have a linguistics background. CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS • To be an in-house translator, translating in-game and related text from the source language to the target language. • Ensure translations are consistent with the source text, as well as grammatically correct and culturally appropriate for the target market. • Prepare and maintain terminology glossaries, databases, and other linguistic-related reference materials. • Conform to the clients’ and format holders’ standards. • Use localisation tools as required (text files, translation memory tools, CAT tools). • Raise any issues or problems found • Meet daily translation targets.
