Hi I'm a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and professional translator. Although I'm new to the Freelancer platform, I have seven years experience as a translator specializing in pt-en-pt. I have done a lot of subtitle translation and captioning in the past and also in recent years. Some of the work I've done was actually to a foundation established in Pune, India, to the OSHO International Foundation. I helped them translate 4 books and tens of video talks. To the videos, I translated them into Portuguese and introduced the captions on DotSub. The average number of words in a video per minute is about 150. Of course, that is a rough estimate, I'm just working the numbers here so we can have some parameters. My fee per word is 0.08 cents, so in a video with about 150 words per minute, we could come to an arrangement of 11 dollars per minute, that is, approximately 940 rupees. I know that you'll probably receive a bunch of lowball bids to this project, but I'd like to ask you to carefully consider my experience in the field of translation before making your choice.
