Hi. I do this very regularly as I work in the film industry; we often need to design and build armatures into fiberglass/polystyrene props and sculptures. Similarly, we have to consider how large props/sculptures are divided, so they can easily be disassembled for transport and reassembled on location. Do you have an image of the 3D model I can take a look at to get a better idea of your requirements. Private message me if you'd like to see some examples of my previous armature designs/builds.
