I am a Mechanical Engineer I have done 4 projects on Freelancer Your requirement can be done. I can do it comfortably on SolidWorks. Generating moulds using 3d cad is easy after you create the 3d model, so it all depends on the complexity of the 3d model to created. From what I understand, you make cakes of specific shapes, like buildings, or architectural wonders etc. You want moulds designed so that batter mix could be poured on to it and baked. My fourth project was on the Design of the mould die for a MS sheet metal ring using SolidWorks. I also sourced the ring for the client from manufacturer. For my first project in Freelancer, I used reverse engineering module of Catia and assembled and simulated a robotic arm. I am familiar with sketch tracing modules, so even jpg files can be loaded and surfaces and 3d models can be formed from it. I have supplied my client with files for 3d printing, injection mould production etc. I use a 3rd party cad conversion software that can batch convert cad formats into a wide variety of files.
