I need a simple Proof Of Concept (COP) for a Sqlite alternative. There is a Sqlite implemenation available for Apple Swift: [login to view URL] Goal: Find a better solution than Sqlite. According to the documentation from Sqlite it is possible that multiple computers access the same database file and do read and write operations at the same time. But the locking mechanism will pretty fast lock up when there are too many computers trying to do this at the same time. Requirements: - Multiple computers access the same database file from a network volume. - All computers running read and write operations on the database file. - The solution is free or open source - If needed because the documentation is not clear enough write a simple POC Apple Swift project for MacOS. Point out the limitations for the suggested solution. For example maximum number of simultaneous users.
