Hi! How are you? I work using Qgis, R and Python. We can do a nice Choroplet Map in Qgis. It's a GIS software, so all the representation of geolocated data is highly accurate, but also aesthetics can be adjusted until obtain a beautiful map. The result can be saved as pdf or png files. Also, we could add all the map's necessary details, as north arrow and scale.
But, if you are looking for a interactive visualization, we could do a Shiny app in R. There, you can represent the map and the other plots, as the Moran plot in different tags, add different statistical analysis, and so on.
What kind of data do you have?
Send me a message me If you want to discuss more about your project,
Good luck!
Natalia
