Senior Python/Spark Software Engineering Lead

This Senior Python/Spark Software Engineering Lead will be a member of the teams that designs and develops robust Python/Spark applications in partnership with Quantitative Modeling team and other stake-holder groups in Risk and Finance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and an understanding of Python, Spark, big data technologies (Hadoop) to execute the end-to-end implementation of quantitative models in production environment and has Lead role experience in software development/application implementation for 6-10 years. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: BS/BA degree with minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or Masters with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes Keen understanding of financial control and budget management Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals 2+ years? experience designing and developing in Python and Spark. 2+ years? experience in Hadoop Platform (Hive, HDFS, Impala) 3+ years? experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL and SAS 2+ years? experience with Agile methodology When you work at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you?re not just working at a global financial institution.
