Hello, I am a professional Visual Basic .NET and Ruby on Rails developer with 2+ years of commercial experience. My skills could provide one of the desired solution you want (option 1 with online or option 2 with standalone app). My suggestion would be to use ruby on rails and create web application because the communication between tellers would be in real time (in context of POS Transfers), also creating web application would allow to access it from different places. This of course requires other database system than MS SQL, maybe free for use PostgreSQL. However, if you decide to use VB.NET, we could use network drive. I think that developing an app that is completely offline would limit your business in the future, however this solution would also be possible
