Cloud Architect (AWS)

Our Cloud Architects drive cloud technology direction, overall design and architecture to support on-premises virtualization infrastructure, as well as public cloud deployment governance, security, auditing, best practices, and technology evolution. You will also… Be Responsible for Cloud governance, auditing, monitoring, planning and assessment. Drive scope and timeliness of major projects. Create project scope, timelines, milestones and detail all deliverables. Demonstrate customer focus by quickly analyzing and fixing virtualization and public cloud-related issues reported by customers, internal and external. Resolve incidents within defined timeframe established by the department. Develop, evaluate, disseminate and integrate new standards, specifications, and technologies into existing processes and methodologies. Lead information sharing sessions to disseminate new best practices and public cloud services. Participate in vendor management. Stay abreast of rapidly evolving public cloud services and integrates into deployments and governance. To be considered, candidates must have… Bachelor’s degree in Technology-related field, plus 10 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education/certification and expertise. Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services or similar public cloud provider. Project Management experience managing multiple projects including leading a team, creating and maintaining project timelines, milestones and deliverables. Advanced knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows Operating Systems including deployment automation and performance troubleshooting. Competency and experience using DevOps tool chains such as Git, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, and Cloudformation. Skill and expertise using one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Golang.
