We have two companies in Taiwan, both that do sourcing from here and from the SE Asia region. Spark Solutions focuses on manufacturing, while Spark Sourcing focuses on hospitality and healthcare. Spark Solutions has an exclusive deal with a factory in Taiwan/China for a high-profit patented material for manufacturing.
We are expanding all areas, and we are looking for a couple partners in the States to help us grow our client base. Due to the time difference, we are not able to reach out and call potential clients in the States. So, what we need are some folks based Stateside who can help us contact potential new clients.
Here are the three opportunities for growth that we have:
Opportunity #1
Spark Sourcing has teamed up with a Taiwanese company selling a patented tungsten carbide used for making dies for the cold forming manufacturing process. We can sell either the raw material or finished molds and dies. Factories using this are reporting 3-10x the lifespan compared to traditional tungsten carbide. The company also has a standard tungsten carbide, and one with slightly increased toughness. The product is going gangbusters in Japan, Korea, and China, and they have chosen Spark to help sell it to the West.
Potential clients
As mentioned, we can sell either finished molds/dies or the raw material, so we can approach cold forming fastener manufacturers (screws, bolts, nuts, etc) to sell finished molkds/dies they need for their parts, and we can also sell to factories that make molds/dies to sell the raw material. The market is huge, and we have a superior product.
Opportunity #2
Spark Solutions is also looking for new clients for its general sourcing business. Again, due to the time difference, we are not able call potential clients. What Spark can do for companies in the States is act as their satellite office in Taiwan, searching for the parts they need from primarily Taiwan, China, Vietnam, and India.
Potential clients
Our idea client is a small to mid-size distribution company or fastener supplier. The big companies will already have a staffed office over here, so who we can really help are the smaller guys who would love to have a partner abroad to help with cost-saving purchases and who can make buying from abroad a safe experience.
Normally, a client will give us an RFQ for a certain part that they need. This could be a standard screw, or it could be a custom screw that needs to get manufactured according to their detailed prints. Spark will then source the part according to their specifications and then present the best prices we can get, with our profit added on to the top.
What you will need to do:
This is easy and involves no selling at all. We just need you to call potential clients, ask for their purchasing manager, ask if they source from abroad… and if they do introduce Spark. They are usually happy to try a new source as there is no investment or risk on their part just to give us a shot.
Opportunity #3
Spark Sourcing is our company that handles sourcing for the hospitality and healthcare industries. We generally source form Taiwan, Vietnam, China, and India, depending on the request.
The potential clients
We are going after medium to large hotel and restaurant providers and companies looking for OEM products from abroad.
