We are a nonprofit Post Secondary Institution with Campuses in Utah, California, and Cameroon-Africa. We actively need someone who will: I Identifying and developing relationships with foundations Ongoing research and analysis of each foundation along with targeted demographics Specialized writing that effectively communicates to the intended audience Prepare our Organization for Grant Readiness – assisting with key elements that must be in place prior to research and writing: • Case for Support (CFS) (basis of all narratives for proposals) • Clearly outlined budgets – annual and individual project budgets • Clearly established outcomes • Goals and objectives • Clearly stated evaluation and sustainability plans • Board development • Research and analysis of each donor foundation, along with ongoing research to uncover new foundations (or foundation giving shift) to include: • Identify foundations with a mission for our projects • Identify foundations funding similar projects • Identify award amounts to fit the first-time approach • Identify foundation multi-year awards to establish foundation’s funding history and focus • Research nonprofit organizations foundation has awarded – identifying project fit • Review form 990 for funding history (for past 5 years), contact approach, confirm submission guidelines, and additional information • Up-to-date profiles and requirements on each foundation added to our spreadsheet • Research community/country demographics, disparities, and other pertinent information required to create a complete need statement. ➢ Writing Process – established CFS will be the basis of all proposal writing and process includes: • Systematic solicitation of all foundations beginning with those having been assessed as a high priority on through those in lower priorities. • Creative writing, layout, and submission (print and online) of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents that would enhance the impact of each proposal. • Customized cover letters accompanying all proposals as well as thank-you letters for all grants and rejections. • Systematic tracking of all submissions, such as letters of inquiry and proposals to each foundation.
