I need some advice with programming, I have recently purchased a card printer enduro 3000 and are creating employee ID cards. Now at the moment when the employees come to work in the morning they have to sign into work on a piece of paper, Now i was wondering because the Card printer is able to print barcodes, if i had a scanner at the entry is there a way to get a program/data base setup so that they can just scan their ID card to sign into work?

you have many option to do this on, 1) you could use barcode system and scan the barcode at entrance which you have to use normal bar code reader which is always connected to computer or portable one . 2) you could use RFID system and in instead of using normal plastic card, you should put plastic RFID cards in your printer which have a kind of micro circuit in side it ( let call next generation of barcode system in simple word) and your worker just swipe the card and you record everything
