Hello, First of all, yes this is possible and whats more this is how people switch/migrate between physical to virtual, virtual-to-virtual and physical-to-physical servers. Moreover if you dont have any emails/custom operating system settings etc. too its not necessary to copy whole server (which causes slow replication times) but only copying necessary files (database,www,shoping cart files etc) are enough to migrate to the new server. The only thing that requires downtime here is DNS, as it requires propagation time between different times. However i have also some tricks to minimize these propagation time too. And finally whats more with a honest feedback, this project does not cost more than 250$ and can be finished within 3 days at max with professional migration, testing and going live stages. I am a honest, reliable and hardworking guy and i never leave a project incomplete.
