CD ROM Inc is a 30 year-old optical disc legacy company still very active in developing new products and services in the IT world. We currently have about 250 products and also offer data destruction and data recovery services. So the three divisions of our company makes IT products, and destroy data on electronic media and recovers data on damaged electronic media. This tri-fold set of divisions could be developed into a theme on our home page. Our web site needs to be redesigned and made more user friendly for online orders and mobile ap access. The press releases were mis-dated when another web designer updated out site 2 years ago and these press releases need to have the original dates replace the dates they used when we did that update. We also have about 10 videos on YouTube which we would like to link to the products. We also have 60 five minute TV programs we did which we would like to make available to visitors to our site (we will provide). We also have legacy paper catalogs, available in pdf format, which we can provide which will make visiting our site quite interesting. Finally, we are working on a history timeline (draft attached) which we want our visitors to prominently see on our home page which speaks volumes about the history and reputation of the company. We are looking for proposals for a one time update to be completed by the end of May, and whoever is selected is likely to have quarterly updates, or updates as needed, as future work for us. We will not consider any bids from Freelancers who simply throw a number at us. We want people to visit our site and send us thoughtful proposals. No beating around the bush, let's get straight to the point, if we were to ask you, what is more, important to show on the website first, will it be the service offerings and your products or your history (although we assume it has to be the products and the services you offer), what would you say? Do you want the history to be more like a scrolling section that would keep automatically scrolling upwards, like the TV ads we see in Airports, railway stations, etc where more like a tv is displayed and the ads keep on scrolling? Want something like that? The reason we ask you the above 2 questions is to have a clear understanding of how appropriately we could layout the site. Do you have any site that you like in terms of layout and structure? Any specific shopping cart in Wordpress that you prefer? you spoke about "Mobile App access", can you please share more info about that as well?
