The first script is on in which the PHP code takes audio files which are place in a folder structure and inserts them into a database and moves them to the correct location. The second project is one that opens a folder and creates and array of the content. The content is then check against a MySQL table. If the file is not found in the table, then it outputs the file name, to be used in page to link to file, file will be a video.
The reason for the project 1: folders will be FTPed into a location containing folders i.e. jazz, rock, blues, americana ( Please note that the genre folders will change, and that these folders names will be used in an insert when inputting the track. In these genres folders will be a folder with an artist's name ( note that this all so be used in the insert. ) Then there will an additional folder that will contian the CD or Album ( again this will be used in an insert). Lastly we reach the folder that contains the tracks. I think that a loop could insert each track into a table, The insert would be a statement constructed by upper the upperlevel folders.
ie "INSERT INTO table (genre, artist, cd, track) values (folder1, folder2, folder3, file)". Once the insert is complete the track wil be moved to a target folder that will be sorted CD's Artists first name i.e. A/aerosmith/pump
Poject 2. Video files will be uploaded into a folder. When a joke page is open the page looks at the current date. It checks this date against a table, if the date is not present, it then opens a folder containing video files. It loops these files through an array. if the file is found in the table it skips this file. it the script finds a file that is not in the table. it inserts the file name, date and outputs the filename into a hyperlink that opens a video.
