Project Description Autoparts shop is a e-commerce website where clients can search and order performance car parts for their cars. Main goal of the project is to automate most of the admin tasks by utilising 3rd party partners services and data. Users will be able to limit their search to only see parts that fit their cars. Admins won’t have to add new inventory manually, once it’s becomes available from a warehouse - it will be imported to the shop. We will automate inventory updates by importing all the items warehouse has via their web system as well. We will import parts description, fitment and images from 3rd party data providers. If they don’t have we will try to find it online by creating custom parsers. Project Objectives Start ecommerce website that sells car parts online. Utilize PIM system (akeneo / pimcore) to collect car parts information before importing it to ecommerce website. Website needs to have all standard features of ecommerce system like product management, order management, online payments, shipping, dropshipping, returns, discounts, etc. (sylius might be a very good fit) Automate PIES/ACES data import (semadatacoop also has API) Provide an easy way for clients to find parts that fit their cars Provide clients an easy way to buy parts at a discount price, when they do group buys Automate admin work, by automatically placing orders to warehouse via API We will start with one language, but it’s good if system can have a multi-language support that is planned from the beginning It’s not needed, but nice to have multiple currencies support or at least display current exchange rate, but client will pay only in USD We would like to keep users coming back by having loyalty program, so users can collect points. Also interested in having: - Some sort of affiliate / commission system in place, and collecting points system for clients. - We will also need a "group buy" possibility, where a lot of people order the same part, and it only will be shipped, when X amount of people are done ordering. Data provided via ACES/PIES formats. We also would like to use SEMADATA api, and other sources / parsers. Experience with ACES/PIES/SEMA auto parts cataloging is a big plus.
