The problem..

Gallery2 won't scan my photos in huge quantities the whole script times out or something happens.. I don't know.. best I can do is maybe a 1,000 at a shot.. there are 61,000 files left to be scanned.. and its hell on earth if it fails on any of e'm.. which it does.. and scanning 61 times is hell on earth to me.. I want it work easily.. that was the plan..

My personal website [url removed, login to view] has 190 Gb of pictures and video on it.. of which only maybe 10-15% is in Gallery2

So what I need from a admin/php programmer is to diagnose why the script fails and then help me implement a solution.. I don't expect this to go quickly unless you’re that good of a admin.. if you are.. I'd say were done in 1/2 hour to a day..

These are my theoretical solutions..

1. Create a home web server (how I used to host the site) and create a exact mirror of website there with Gallery2 stuff done and then upload via SSH or SCP or Rsync (I would need something that would resume itself as my cable modem times out a lot during the upload)

2. Fix the script problem or work around a possible shared hosting limitation problem

3. Use the gallery perl add-in script (I don't know much about it.. but it supposed to be somewhat good)

4. I have my own web server online that has Dual 1 Ghz P3's and 1 gb of ram.. maybe there's a way to borrow cpu cycles through it?

This is a personal website so I don't have much money to spend on it.. I will implement solution 1 myself, eventually if I have too...
