The events section needs to be a frame that the user can scroll up or down, this is where my posts for party events will go. There will be pictures underneath these posts with a width of anywhere from 400 to 600 pixels. I would like a system built into the site that archives the posts by date/month. I need to be able to control the number of visible posts at any time. In terms of format, I would like the most recent posts in the bottom and older posts closer to the top. It would be nice to have a search feature built in so that users can find posts.
In the gallery section I would like to have an image that links to a yahoo photo bucket. Underneath it I would like to have a form present that allows users to upload their pictures into folders. In the form the user can just type the party name and then upload pics, a folder should be created based on the info inputted through the form and the photos dumped into this folder. I would go ahead and moderate the pictures and post them into the yahoo photo bucket. There should be a little gallery on the page with thumbnails in which I will post the most recent party. I'd go ahead and delete the contents on a weekly basis to update the gallery.
Forum: I'm thinking of having a simple forum for this page, avatars might be something we could discuss. Users need to be logged in to use this feature. Spam is a major concern for me so could I was wondering, what kind of safeguards could we have in place?
Chat: in terms of code I'm thinking of something that would post directly on the site. Users need to log in to use this feature. Spam is a major concern, again any safeguards for this feature is something we can discuss. I would like the ability to moderate posts and delete entry’s.
Contact page: There should be a form that users can fill out to contact me. On this page I will also solicit the services of volunteers for our promotional crew. So I would like to have a form that would take their information and what kind of services they would like to volunteer.
I would like to be able to log user information who register for the site. In terms of their email I would like it to be logged in a format that I can use for email blasts.
I need this in 5 days. You can use any open source code you want.
