Skratch is a travel platform that lets you track where you've been in the world and plan where to go next. Until now, we've been building out a simple but awesome map experience and have grown into the most predominant scratch map tool on the App & Play Stores (0.6 million users on very limited marketing activity, Top 10 in 100+ countries). You can check out more here: [login to view URL] The next step for us is to go beyond the map and towards our mission of helping people unlock the world. We want to be the 'Netflix for travel', a personalised travel service for the mobile generation. Our roadmap includes social map features, experience booking and practical information for travellers across every country. We focus on building social, sustainable and smart features. To start this next phase of the roadmap, we are looking for a backend developer to join the team initially part time with around 20 hours/month (start date asap). Your work would focus mostly on supporting feature development on the API/DB side and being a key technical stakeholder for vetting external partners. Our current stack is MySQL, Node.js and AWS.
