We need an application developed to wipe/sanitize HDD to dod standards. We would like someone to take the OpenSource program DBAN 2.0/Or other Opensource application and "modify" it to fit our needs. We do not need to modify any of the source code that deals with the wiping of the drives. We will need the application to run centrally on a TFTP server. We will PXEboot computers which will pulll your application and run defined commands with minimal employee intervention. We would like to set the DOD standard to be used and additional data collection fields that will sent to a Database. The application will need to load the linux kernal and search for NIC cards and install all the drivers and get an IP address, at the end of the wiping process we want it to update a table in our SQL server with the Serial number of the device it wiped and a condition code we assign that defines if the wiping was successful and when it was completed... We will use one of the open source dod codes as a starting point. Please contact me with questions.
