*Looking for someone to work full-time & in-house to develop Android applications for a medical device product* Duration: 2-3 months estimated Location: Westwood, Los Angeles, CA Hierarchy: lead a team of 1-2 software interns, collaborate with firmware & hardware engineers, report to product manager and CEO Responsibilities: -develop Android mobile application (Java) to control medical device (~50% complete) -must have experience with Bluetooth/WiFi data transfer and cloud data storage -must have experience with SaMD (software as a medical device) development including design controls, verification & validation testing, and FDA requirements for medical devices -software must be appropriately documented to enable FDA approval of medical device -documentation must include software description, requirements specification, architecture design chart, design specification, traceability analysis, development environment description, etc. (see [login to view URL]) -software must comply with IEC Standard 62304: Medical device software – Software life cycle processes, IEC Standard 62366-1: Medical devices – Part 1: Application of usability engineering to medical devices
