I made a very similar Android App to what you are looking for - A Android app that fires up the main UI and generates an alarm or notification once the hardware with the HC-06 module, previously paired with the phone, is out-of-range from the phone/app. If ever you will choose me for this project, I propose a 2-screen android app. A Main Screen and a Settings Screen. The Main Screen is where the user can turn ON or OFF the "tracking" functionality and a Settings Screen where the user can set parameters such as tracking frequency (how fast should the app check for its connection to the hardware) and other things you would like to appear in it. I would also like to know the minimum Android OS you want to target. Thank you.
