Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - your idea is fully workable, but it needs a twist... (i've studied the ir screening for another application a few years ago) 2 - in the first place you need to know the window dimensions and how the new screen could be mounted and fit inside the shop window frame... 3 - it will require a special assembly (would be so easy just to place some ir emitters and ready to hide the models...) 4 - after the model is made, the prototype could be built by yourself - would be to expensive to build it here and ship overseas... Hi, I have three proposals for your project. You may use term "infrared blocker" for your project but any type of window glass or jamming device for camera is a solution for your project. So read the following proposal and get in touch if you like to have a collaboration. Proposal #1: A glass covered by a thin-film (aka dichroic) and an outside infrared light source will reflect infrared light from the glass but pass other lights, so cameras can't capture anything but infrared light because of its intensity. While, people can see behind the glass window. Proposal #2: A glass covered with a transparent flex PCB and electronic circuit which provide ambient and uniform infrared light. (The grid and small wiring may see when people are close to the windows but it will not noticeable) [reliable solution] Proposal #3: Infrared diode strips on the borders of the window and use material inside the window to disperse the Infrared light (Needs chemical and high cost manufacturing)
