The goal of this project is to create a data aggregator that will utilize existing psychological data sets, published or not, from researchers all over the world, to estimate more precise effect size statistics between a limited number of commonly investigated variables that are used in the study of romantic relationships. Researchers often employ different measures of the same constructs (e.g. inches vs. meters when measuring length) so the inclusion of more data sets, from different labs, over time will allow us to estimate effect sizes across studies that use the exact same measures, as well as an aggregated effect size across conceptually similar measures. Additionally, we want to be able to estimate effect sizes separately by important contextual variables such as (a) country, (b) year of data collection, (c) publication status, and so on.
