I've developed software providing labor unions the ability to track member applications through the process. The application is for U.S. Government labor unions. The International Union is called the American Federation of Government Workers (AFGE) and can be found at AFGE.org. Most labor union officers are not full time with their unions. Therefore the software had to be complete but simple and fast to use. This is for the Local Unions, not the International. They have an incentive for recruiting new members. Depending on the time of year and the specific program, they could give a new member $100 and the one that recruiter the new member $100. It could also be $25 to each. But, each recruitment could be worth $200 to the Local because the International union will pay the local back if the members qualify and if filed timely. New members complete a membership form. The membership form is widely known as 1187. My software is called "1187 Tracker" and tracks the form after the new member signs off. Unions have events called "Lunch and Learn" where the union will buy lunch and tell potential members about the union. Once a new member signs and 1187 the Local will give the money to the member and recruiter. That is where the software helps because the local treasurer must now work the paperwork through the process of getting reimbursed by AFGE and getting the new member on dues deduction with the federal agency. Features include: Simple and fast. The treasurer can enter an 1187 into the software in 10-20 seconds The treasurer can print reports listing who AFGE has not reimbursed the Local also, who the agency has not yet started withholding union dues and paying it to the local Track expenses of each Lunch and Learn Report by recruiter of all the members recruited Report by the event of the members recruited Year-end report listing the recruiters that will need an IRS form 1099 at the end of the year Reconcile the cash paid out to members, recruiters, and expenses for lunch The website is not done and has not been published but will be [login to view URL] Pre-release pricing is 60% off. What I need is some marketing language to use in brochures and on the website that will "sell" this product.
