I'm an owner of a photo printing service (photos, photo books, holiday cards, calendars, etc) and [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] are my two largest competitors. I'm not a data analyst nor a marketing expert. What I want to do is track their ad spending over the holiday period (October through December). I'm trying to answer the questions of: How much are they spending on marketing? Are they spending more this year than last year? How successful is their marketing spend? What's the main channel where they are spending? How much traffic is going to their websites? I know not all these questions can be answered externally, but my guess is that any good marketer/data analyst is tracking their competitors closely. I'd love help in how to do this best!
