Need some help turning the Fujitsu ScanSnap SDK into some usable RealBasic/Xojo code.
The documented method from Fujitsu seems to be to add my app to the Quick Menu which pops up when the user has selected scan. The user then selects my app, effectively "directing" the output of the scan to the app I have created. While this could be workable, my preference and goal would be to simply have my app control the scanner directly through calls to the ScanSnap Manager.
I believe once the scanner output has been directed to a location that I can access, I can handle the app programming from there.
Hello,
I am a Mac OS system developer, been working with this platform for over 6 years.
For what it's worth, i've been programming on Visual Basic for several years. (although, why not use Objective C here?)
What does your app do with the captured image? Basically as I understand you need the image to be placed into a specific directory? Can I take a look at the ScanSnap SDK? (fujitsu doesnt provide a direct link to download it).
Hello
How are you?
I read your project description carefully.

Hello,
The only problem that ScanNap SDK is supporting only XCode, so there would be 2 options I could offer you:
- write the apps purely in XCode
- write the apps in Xojo, but using the component I will write using XCode which can be used within your Xojo code
Which one would you prefer?
Hi
I have already done several xojo apps to run on cross platforms.
If you give me the chance to do this, I'll do my best and make you satisfy.
I hope to discuss more detail and forward.
Thanks
