I have a project in progress. I would like to find first occurrence of the attribute by grabbing its index number where the attribute is located. I am currently doing this manually but would like to do this way more efficiency.

By "I am currently doing this manually", do you mean that the current algorithms you use has a time complexity of O(N) and you'd prefer to cut down the run time? it can be done but it'd help me if you can share the part of code that needs to be improved so I can have a look at it and come up with an optimal algorithm.
