Born in Roseau, Dominica the heart of the caribbean, Kabral Richards, Aka Skydimex (meaning different dimensions of music ) is a passionate lover of all styles of music from his younger age. In 1992, while visiting New York, he discovers what will be his favorite musical playground : hip hop. Coming back with his new video single released in november “Time wit you”, he will be delivering his new album “Been trugh” in 2020 , exploring a mix of culture reuniting the famous rythms of the caribbean : dance hall, hip hop and soca (bouyon). Member of the Klockerz crew, he started his career at 18 with a musical landscape filled with diversity and creativity diffused by the spirit of their green island : Calypso, reggae, soca, kompa, zouk, cadence’lypso, and also dancehall. They released three albums : MENTAL OF INSTRUMENTAL, K2 et SIGN’O’THE TIMES and a live, they also did opening acts for well known artists such as Kassav’, Buju Banton, Sanchez,TOK. Feeling that he had to spread his vibes, in 2009 skydimex decided to move en solo to guadeloupe working with Mad JMC (one of Krys’ productor), ManDragon and OneTime studio and recording a few successfull albums and mix tapes : “Rapanomics”, “Black Diamond” and “Nou pa ka palé enco” featuring Rin. Liaise with artists or agents to agree on a date for performance. Book a venue for that agreed upon date. Negotiate a deal with the artist for the gig – what fee or ticket split will be paid? Promote the upcoming gig this can be to the local press and radio, put up posters, social media, hand out flyers and email their mailing list. Make sure everything the act needs is in place – stage equipment, accommodation, rider, etc. Set up sound check times and the running order of the show. Organise the running of the event, selling tickets and making sure everything is running to plan and everyone is happy.
