1. open an image uploaded by a customer
2. find out what image it is, say a driver's license, passport, etc.
3. after identifying the document that has been uploaded, determine if the image uploaded is of good quality or poor quality (i.e. the letters in the uploaded image should be clearly readable, the photograph should be clearly visible)
4. in case of poor quality, alert the customer that he needs to reupload a better quality one
5. Fetch the name and other details from the image uploaded

My Team experience includes Port Based container Damage detection Software: detecting damaged container and keeping record and report of containers movement, Driver fatigue detection using raspberry pi which in a matter of milli seconds determines if the driver is sleeping or not and alarm accordingly using OpenCV, Vehicle counting in the particular category they belong to on a high speed road, number plate recognition using OCR algorithm of openCV, face detection and recognition for attendance system of a school and patient management system of a medical system.

Assuming you are developing an desktop application would like to suggest using openCV with c++/python to do basic imaging algorithms. Many existing library/packages can be used along by using c++/python.
