Looking for a web developer to build my webapp. I am agnostic on which programming language you use but have a slight preference for Ruby. There are 11 pages to build and you are to provide the full functionality for this: These will be login page, register page, Landing page, conference detail page, conference posting page, contact us page, payment option page, input payment page, admin page, user account page and user detail page. You must incorporate the functionality to add ads within the system. Attached is a landing page for you to visualize it more. :: What this site does :: This is a conference listing platform where academics can post details of their upcoming conferences online. Users can browse, easily, the conferences available and are able to filter them accordingly to subject, location, dates etc. This site operates on a 'freemium' model - it is free to view and post but there are add-ons that one can unlock by paying a fee. :: Current stage :: All 11 page's visuals are done and you are to add functionality to it. :: Your task :: This is a rather simple webapp. In terms of functionality, it wouldn't be too different from say [login to view URL] (you must visit this site and scroll to see what I mean). You'll be tasked with all the coding of the front end and server side. You will also help debug the site. Of course, there is an open source code from Github (discourse) that builds the 'list website' I want BUT if I just want that - to copy and paste from the free source code - I wouldn't hire you right? I do not want a mere clone of that - I require bespoke customization and functionality building on that. You will need to decide on the programming language/framework for this. Once the UI is finalized you will base your programming on the flow of the UI. In the mean time, I can share the functionalities with you which are not too different from the website mentioned above. In your application please state which programming language you will use and also what language you're familiar with

I would most likely develop this in Ruby on Rails. While I'm likely to use some basic Open Source building blocks as a base to build upon; a custom list would likely make more sense than Discourse.
