Hi there.
I'm a mechanical engineering trainee, but my special talent is in computers, programming and network hardware.
Allow me to explain why I think I'm suited for this.
In April of this year, I worked at a factory making sheet metal. When I joined, their intranet was terrible - there was only one router in an office at the corner of the plant. In my free time, I got all the hardware they had and made a network that was at full bars in all places in the plant, and they could connect to printers and print from anywhere.
Another project I did was to convert an old firmware-locked Huawei home router into a repeater (it was locked to disable any other modes other than the one that the ISP intended it to be used for). I installed custom firmware on it, and we now use it to get internet access in the front yard.
I'm not a computer science student, so I don't know much about the terminology, and I won't be able to properly define an AP for you, or differentiate DCHP from other modes. But I do know my job, and I know my way around hardware.
Do hire me.
Thank you.
