I am an Electrical and Computer Engineer trained in Germany and the U.S. My mission is to provide quality hardware/software design for small businesses and startups. Building hardware provides real game changing potential for small businesses. I use agile methods and short prototyping cycles to pinpoint what the client needs at minimal cost and time. Most of my work was lead engineering in tech startups and diverse development teams. I specialize on understanding my client's actual business goals, and using 20 years of experience to find the right technical fit. This includes choosing the right components, make or buy decisions, schematic and PCB design, microcontroller programming, and backend integration. Incremental prototyping allows testing design choices in short cycles, and efficiently working with my client's resources. Once development gets more specific, I help build and manage teams of tech specialists. When prototyping is completed, I help my client transition into a production setup.
In previous projects, I have worked with microcontrollers of any size and shape, embedded Linux platforms like Raspberry Pi and Wandboards, MQTT architectures, low-bandwith real-time messaging, REST APIs, hundreds of sensors and actuators, and electronics to make it all work together. With a 20 year Linux background, I can take on almost any server or embedded Linux task. Check my portfolio for more work s
