Greetings, My first question to you is what version of Medisoft are you running? All EMR's that are certified Meaningful Use Stage 2 have the ability to export CCDA files. You will need the CCDA files to be compliant. If not, you may need to upgrade your Medisoft before exporting, and your vendor should support the upgrade for free or a very nominal fee. Then Kareo can import them (for a fee) or you can do them (or contract that work out). If you contract the work, be sure to get the contractor HIPAA compliant. Let me give you a synopsis of my experience for your reference.I am an accomplished Healthcare IT specialist having immersive experience in Health data Analysis ,Migration, FHIR, labs, and third party APIs integration . I have worked on several EMR migration projects . I have great experience and proven ability to streamline the data migration process without loss of data and minimal disruption to providers during transition. I can help you with any extraction and conversion from Medisoft to Kareo by offering complete processes and automated utilities . The following is my approach when I take up any Migration project : 1. Quantitative Data Assessment: This assessment involves an objective evaluation of the data, comparing the data facts with the standards and rules for that data. We also seek to understand the expected data or the data specifications. These are the standards, the business rules, or reference data. These specifications tell us what the data should be. This assessment results in a set of statistics about the data, with examples below. The existence or non-existence (NULL) of data Any data value ranges The minimum and maximum values Any patterns or format of the data Reference table matches (e.g., discharge disposition codes) 2. Qualitative Data Assessment: A qualitative assessment looks at data accuracy, and evaluates data consistency and synchronization. Accuracy has two parts: is the data valid and is the data right? Validity tells you if the facts of the data meet the data standards (quantitative assessment). For example, a field in an EHR labeled “temperature” may contain data in the correct type and format (nn.n – nnn.n), but the range of values may exceed what is logical from a clinical perspective, such as a patient temperature exceeding 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The final part of the qualitative assessment involves evaluating consistency and synchronization, comparing information and determining which data are equivalent and which may need to be made equivalent. For example, when looking at different EHR systems, a patient's gender information may be captured differently. One system may use the letters “F” and “M”, while another system may use the words “female” or “male.” The data are equivalent, but the data values differ. A subject-matter expert like me would identify these duplicate or equivalent fields during a qualitative assessment. 3. Data Extraction Types: Discrete Images and/or Blobs Scanned Documents 4.
