Job Description and Profile – Technical Writer
We’re looking for a technical writer with extensive experience in software documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work with SMEs to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, user manuals and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Develop technical blogs, case studies, and POVs
Required experience and skills:
• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Experience in leading software documentation projects and editing documents preferred
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with the SDLC and software development
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well in teams
• Takes initiative and requires little supervision
Project duration: 3-6 months
