Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my bid.
Commissioning a biography is a big deal, and the way I see it if you're going to commit your money and time to the project, you want to get it right. I have run a similar project for my grandfather, documenting his life and stories, and the big takeaway was that the research stage had to be done well.
I would propose approaching the task as follows:
1. You provide an outline of the key moments you would like to cover
2. I will wireframe the narrative of the biography, and send you a series of questions about each of the key chapers/stages
3. I provide you with an outline of the text, and we discuss the narrative approach
4. We hold a series of interviews (perhaps 3-5) to go in depth on some key elements
5. I begin drafting chapters, and send them to you for review
6. You review the content and provide notes. I will revise the content, then send you the final drafts for approval
I would imagine the process would take at least three months, hence why my bid may be a bit longer or more costly than many you will receive. However by taking the time to get the research right you will have a richer, more complete book at the end.
I hope my bid captures your interest and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Jarrad
