We are starting from scratch and are looking to setup our AWS organization/accounts properly. We are going with separate accounts for our dev pipeline (one account per: dev, stage, prod) and a separate account for CodeCommit and all of the company's git repos. We have experimented by hand with creating IAM roles to give access to the various staging accounts, but we are hoping to take the next step and capture the process in code so that we can repeat it consistently for further deployment pipelines. Successful project will be an example CloudFormation or Terraform config that creates a new account in our organization with permission to interact with our central CodeCommit account.
